Minimize Pores
Minimize Pores
Did you know that it’s possible to minimize pores without using skin damaging chemical containing foundations? I’m going to spend the next few minutes outlining some of tips and tricks I’ve encountered to help you minimize the pores on your face for clean, clear, healthy skin.
Tips To Minimize Pores On Your Face
Cleanse Your Facial Pores
My first piece of advice to help minimize pores is to adopt a thorough, regular facial cleansing routine. It’s advisable to wash your face with a PH balanced salicylic containing soap twice daily. This will unclog the pores in your face and help to shrink blemishes and pimples. Once the face is clean you can use an astringent toner. Be careful around your eyes and use only on pores. If you have combination skin use it on he TZone.
Too Much Sun Is Bad For Skin Pores
I love to sunbathe, and let’s face it – who doesn’t? The feel of vitamin enriching sun caressing the skin of your face is one of life’s joys. Sadly, too much sun is bad and enlarges pores. If you’re out in the sun protect your face! It is absolutely crucial that you apply the correct sun protection to the delicate skin of your facial areas. Regular sun protection useage will minimize pores.
Facial Exfoliation Helps To Minimize Pores
Regular facial exfoliation is another step towards clear, smooth skin. Using a facial scrub or exfoliating loofah at least once a week will seriously minimize the pores. The rubbing motion coupled with the coarse surface of the loofah will lift dirt and oil from within the pores and reduce the size of them. Just be careful not to rub the soft skin too hard.
Moisturizer Minimizes Pores
Applying the correct moisturizer to your skin can really help to reduce pores. The majority of people are unaware of their skin type and opt for the incorrect cream. If, like me, you have greasy skin it’s best to go for oil free moisturizers. People with a drier complexion are better applying oil enriched creams to their skin. Where possible, look for retinol containing formulations as their active ingredients enhance collagen. Applying the correct moisturizer is key and can drastically help to reduce the appearance of pores.
There are of course over the counter and prescription only medications, both topical and oral that can help minimize pores. If you’re excessively worried a trip to the doctors who may even resort to pain free skin laser resurfacing, dermabrasion or light treatments.
Finally, if all else fails or you’re short of time for the skins natural healing process, you do have the option to cover up your pores with foundation makeup. When choosing a brand look for a product that contains silicone. It will soak into the pores and give your face a smooth beautiful appearance.
